Around Town: Live! brings steel drums to Boys and Girls
- Share via
Students at the Boys and Girls Club danced and played along with musician Jay Lawson, bandleader of Panjive Steel Drum Band during the Laguna Beach Live! Music and Kids program held at the club’s canyon branch.
Lawson explained the development of the steel drum and encouraged kids to express the rhythms through movement and percussion.
The program is partially underwritten by the Assistance League of Laguna Beach, Festival of Arts Foundation and Applied Medical.
