Baseball: Hagen Danner, Nick Pratto, Kevin Gowdy top USA 17U invitees

Southern California is loaded with some outstanding young pitchers, and several were selected to participate in the 17U National Team Development Program set to hold a training camp Aug. 4-8 in Cary, N.C.
They include pitchers Hagen Danner (Huntington Beach), Nick Pratto (Mater Dei) and Kevin Gowdy (Santa Barbara), all expected to be standouts next spring.
Also selected were catcher Blake Sabol of Aliso Niguel, outfielder Alex McKenna of Alemany, catcher David Clawson of Mater Dei and outfielder Josh Stephen of Mater Dei.
