Baseball: JSerra’s Brett Kay is preparing his prom speech for tomorrow

JSerra’s prom is scheduled for Thursday night, the same day that the top-seeded baseball team opens play in the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.
Coach Brett Kay said he’s gathering information to tell his players in a speech scheduled for Wednesday.
It’s particularly timely, because last season, JSerra lost its top player, Parker Joe Robinson, the night before its playoff opener because he injured his ankle dancing at the prom.
“I have a multitude of bulletin points to be discussing,” Kay said.
And the No. 1 point?
“No dancing with country boots on,” he said.
