Standout senior guard Lindsey Drew of Faifax has begun to look at other college options after the firing of Arizona State Coach Herb Sendek on Tuesday, his mother, Sharon, said.
Drew had been committed to ASU and in constant contact with Sendek. He planned to attend IMG Academy in Florida next year, then enroll at ASU.
Now he will look at other options. He could still end up at IMG Academy or sign with a college for this coming season depending on scholarship availability.
Drew, who has grown to nearly 6 feet 4, was the top player in the City Section this season, leading the Lions to the Open Division championship. His older brother, Larry II, played for UCLA, and another brother, Landon, plays for Cal State Northridge. His father, Larry, is an assistant coach with the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers.
