Boys’ basketball: Jules Bernard leads Windward past Brentwood

Jules Bernard continues to help Windward reach a high level of play even though point guard Jalen Harris has been lost for the season with an injury.
Bernard scored 24 points and had 17 rebounds on Thursday night as the Wildcats defeated Brentwood, 64-49, in its Gold Coast League opener.
Windward improved to 16-3.
Bernard made 16 of 20 free throws. Sophomore Jared Barnett has been doing well at point guard taking over for Harris.
Braelee Albert scored 24 points for Brentwood.
Viewpoint defeated Campbell Hall, 68-63, with freshman Andrew Reyes scoring 31 points. Mike Meadows had 22 points for Campbell Hall.
Rancho Mirage (18-3) had five players in double figures in a 79-36 win over Coachella Valley. Charles Neal led the way with 20 points.
