Boys’ basketball: LiAngelo Ball scores 42 points in Chino Hills semifinal victory

Chino Hills is earning admirers with each game in Florida.
The unbeaten Huskies (8-0) advanced to the championship game of the City of Palms Classic on Tuesday night with a 94-82 win over North Carolina High Point Christian.
LiAngelo Ball scored 42 points. Brother Lonzo Ball had 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Brother LaMelo Ball added 18 points. Elizjah Scott had 12 points.
If Chino Hills ends up winning in the championship game on Wednesday, the Huskies could move to No. 1 in several publications nationally. They are ranked No. 1 in Southern California by The Times.
All three Ball brothers are headed to UCLA. LiAngelo is a junior, Lonzo a senior and LaMelo a freshman.
Chino Hills will play New Jersey Patrick School at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern time) on Wednesday.
