Football: Grace Brethren loses appeal to lift playoff ban for 2016

Simi Valley Grace Brethen’s appeal of having its football playoff ban eliminated for 2016 has been rejected by the Southern Section Executive Committee on a vote of 19-0-1.
Grace Brethren received the playoff ban for “lack of administrative oversight,” according to Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons.
The football team was pulled from the playoffs last season during the week it was supposed to play for the East Valley Division championship after discovery of an ineligible player.
