Football: Grant is surprise team in the East Valley League
- Share via
Look who’s in first place in the East Valley League. Arleta (2-0) was supposed to be on top, but who picked Van Nuys Grant (2-0) to join the Mustangs?
Leading Grant to a win over North Hollywood this past week was sophomore running back Darryl Antwan Anderson. He has put together consecutive games rushing for more than 100 yards.
Coach Rudy Delatorre said, “He is the future for Grant football.”
Anderson isn’t very tall but he runs hard and has some quickness.
Grant plays Monroe next week.
