Football: Los Angeles opens 22-7 lead over Monroe

A 50-yard touchdown reception by Derrick Kellum and a four-yard TD catch by Richard Smith have given Los Angeles a 22-7 lead over Monroe at halftime of the City Section Division III final at the Coliseum. Kellum also caught a two-point conversion pass.
Andrus Martin has a one-yard TD run for Los Angeles. Luis Dorame scored on a one-yard TD run for Monroe.
Kaymen Cureton has passed for 208 yards for Los Angeles.
Update: AJ Senegal caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Luis Dorame to start the third quarter, allowing Monroe to cut its deficit to 22-14.
