Service set for Friday in Encino for Ed Baker, basketball officials assigner

A service is set for Friday at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church in Encino for San Fernando Valley basketball officials assigner Ed Baker, who died on Nov. 10 after a bout with cancer. He was 71.
Baker was a longtime area basketball official who later became the assigner for officials.
His wife, Pat, has been the longtime cheerleader coach at Crespi.
Baker is survived his wife, daughers Pennie Stepczyk and Amy Dibelka and five grandchildren.
A reception will be held at Crespi following the service.
