The track and field season begins next month, and Prepcaltrack.com has come out with its list of freshmen ready to make an impact.
Leading the way in the girls’ ranks is Lauren Rain Williams of Long Beach Poly. She has sprinting ability in the 100, 200 and 400. Tara Davis of Agoura is a longer jumper and hurdler to watch.
Among boys, Glendora has a promising 400-meter runner in Zachary Shinnick. Long Beach Poly has a distance star in Hugo Novoa. And watch out for Anaheim Esperanza shot putter Bronson Osborn, who has a best of 56-3.
