Valencia’s Chase Farrell is example how recruiting can change very quickly

Wednesday is early national letter of intent day for all sports but football, soccer and boys’ water polo, and it will be a big day for Valencia pitcher Chase Farrell, who plans to sign with UCLA.
Farrell is an example how if you perform and are seen in the right situation, recruiting can change rapidly.
Farrell had a good junior season, going 5-3 with a 2.39 ERA. But it wasn’t until college coaches saw him at an Area Code tryout and were impressed with his improved velocity that recruiting took off.
Baseball and softball signees will be plentiful in Southern California.
In basketball, Sierra Canyon will have multiple signees.
