Pac-12 women: UCLA wins in overtime to reach final

Jordin Canada scored eight of her 26 points in overtime, Monique Billings added 22 points, and No. 12 UCLA pulled away from California in the extra session for a 73-67 victory in the Pac-12 tournament semifinals on Saturday night at Seattle.
The Bruins will face the winner of the game between No. 8 Oregon State and Washington, which ended after this edition went to press.
Kari Korver’s three-pointer with seven seconds left in regulation helped force overtime, but she missed the free throw on the potential four-point play that could have given UCLA the lead. Asha Thomas’ three-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed off for California.
The Golden Bears scored first in overtime but UCLA (24-7) ran off the next seven points, five of them by Canada. Courtney Range scored for Cal with 43 seconds left to pull within 68-65 but the Bruins made six of eight free throws in the final 37 seconds.
Pac-12 freshman of the year Kristine Anigwe led Cal (15-17) with 26 points and 15 rebounds.
