Kings’ Jarret Stoll, Dean Lombardi take the Stanley Cup home

The Stanley Cup’s much-traveled summer vacation continued last week with Kings center Jarret Stoll and General Manager Dean Lombardigetting their turn to act as tour guides.

Stoll, who provided an important veteran leadership role for the Kings during their Stanley Cup run, brought the legendary trophy to his childhood hometowns of Yorkton and Neudorf, Saskatchewan.

It might have been a little cooler than his trip with Lord Stanley to Hermosa Beach back in June, but it looks like Stoll and his friends and family had a great time celebrating his achievement in the towns he called home as a child. Plus, who knew eastern Saskatchewan was such a hotbed for Kings fans?

Lombardi used his time with the Cup to visit some old friends and teammates in Ludlow, Mass. One of the highlights of his trip was letting his minor league hockey coach Tony Costa spend some quality time with the Stanley Cup -- that’s a front porch memory he won’t soon forget:
