NFL players wear their hearts on their feet, again, for the return of My Cause, My Cleats campaign

It’s week 13 of the NFL season, which means players will be showing off some eye-catching cleats on the field.
Back for another season, the NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats initiative will allow players to wear their hearts on their feet, showcasing cleats representing charities that are important to them.
More than 500 players from the 32 teams will be wearing these custom-made cleats during games. Some players have already shared on social media using #MyCauseMyCleats to give fans a preview of what they’ll be donning and supporting on the field.
Every cleat tells a story. Dallas Cowboys’ Jaylon Smith wore cleats to represent the many different dynamics of autism.
Seattle Seahawks’ Eddie Lacy will be donning cleats in support of those affected from natural disasters.
Green Bay Packers’ Mike Daniels will be wearing anime-inspired “Dragon Ball” cleats focused on anti-bullying.
Chargers’ Antonio Gates will be wearing custom-signed lupus awareness purple cleats in tribute to his sister Pam.
Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald will be wearing black and pink cleats for breast cancer awareness and in honor of his mother.
Pittsburgh Steelers stars Le’Veon Bell and Alejandro Villanueva will be wearing custom cleats co-designed by Activision and renowned sneaker customizer Kickasso in support of the Call of Duty Endowment.
The Call of Duty Endowment helps veterans find high-quality careers by supporting groups that prepare them for the job market and by raising awareness of the value veterans bring to the workplace.
Rams players will be wearing cleats in support of the American Heart Assn., Shiners Hospitals for Children, the American Cancer Society, and others.
“One of the great NFL traditions is how our players passionately support important causes in their communities and around the globe every year,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “They are incredibly creative by nature so we are not surprised how they are seizing the opportunity this week with inspiring expressions of their charitable commitments on their cleats, online and through social media.”
If you want to snag a pair of the cleats worn by a player, players wearing that cleat will have the opportunity to auction them off at NFL Auction. All funds raised will be donated to the charities chosen by the players.
