USC has received a letter of intent from Christian Rector, the school announced.
Player: Christian Rector
Position: Defensive lineman
Height: 6 feet 5
Weight: 245
High School: Los Angeles Loyola
Verbally committed: Aug. 6, 2014
Schools considered: Oregon State, Nebraska, UCLA and Vanderbilt
Notes: Army All-American… high school teammate of Trojans offensive lineman Chris Brown… mother and grandfather graduated from USC.
Rector told Scout.com why he chose USC:
“USC has everything I was looking for, not just football-wise but more so off the field. The connections you make at USC and the alumni support can set you up for life. I know you can’t play football forever, so a degree from USC and the networking you can do was really what put them over the top.”
