Prince tribute planned on Fremont Street video canopy in Las Vegas

If you’re a Prince fan and visiting Las Vegas right now, head to the enormous video screen at the Fremont Street Experience tonight to watch a tribute to the music legend.
Prince died today at the age of 57.
The pop singer’s life and music will be featured on the Viva Vision canopy at the downtown Las Vegas site for one night only, a statement says.
Visitors can listen to “Purple Rain” and “When Doves Cry” while 68 photos of Prince’s life flash by on the overhead screen.
Tourists watch the canopy light show at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. The video canopy will feature a tribute to pop artist Prince tonight.
Prince had a residency at the Rio Hotel and Casino from November 2006 through April 2007. He named the club inside the hotel 3121, in honor of his album of the same name that was released at the time.
The Prince tribute will run right after the six-minute Viva Vision shows on the hour between 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday.
Prince died at his home, Paisley Park, outside Minneapolis after being hospitalized in Illinois last week for what his representative said at the time was the flu.
