Caribbean: Gourmet food festival on tony St. Barts

Sunny days, blue water and celebrity chef-style cuisine make up the itinerary for a weeklong food festival in St. Barts. The Caribbean island, also called Saint Barthelemy or St. Barth, is known for hosting gourmet food events.
Taste of St. Barth, Oct. 30 through Nov. 5, is to feature seven chefs from around the world, including New York City’s Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the three-star Michelin Relais & Chateaux grand chef. Events are to be held at Hotel Le Toiny, Eden Rock, Cheval Blanc St Barth Isle de France, Hotel Guanahani & Spa, Hotel Le Christopher, Le Sereno Hotel and Tom Beach Hotel.
Dates: Oct. 30-Nov. 5
Price: Rates start at $3,565 for a three-night stay at Hotel Le Toiny, double occupancy. Includes two dinners and one lunch at various island venues, plus wine, a rental convertible or Smart car, transfers and breakfast.
