Reporting from Las Vegas — Rumors that Aerosmith would hold a mini-residency in Las Vegas proved to be untrue, but that’s not stopping the band from making a stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena this summer.
Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford perform a set of their biggest hits on Saturday, Aug. 1, at the 16,800-seat arena. Songs such as “Back in the Saddle,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Dream On,” and “Sweet Emotion” make the set list.
The band, with album sales of 150 million, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Their latest album, Music From Another Dimension! released in 2012, marked the band’s first studio album since 2004’s Honkin’ on Bobo and the first to feature all-new material since 2001’s Just Push Play.
Aerosmith’s remix of Run DMC’s “Walk This Way” earned the band a Soul Train Award for Best Rap Single.
Tickets start at $49.50 and go on sale on Saturday, Mar. 7.
Tickets: MGM Grand, (800) 745-3000
