Local News in Brief : Killer’s Extradition Sought
- Share via
South Carolina Gov. Carroll Campbell asked Monday that convicted Domino’s Pizza killer Mitchell Carlton Sims be returned to that state to stand trial on other murder charges.
Sims already has been sentenced to death in California for the murder of a Domino’s deliveryman in Glendale.
The West Columbia, S.C., man is wanted in that state in connection with the December, 1985, slayings of two Domino’s employees there. Sims himself had worked as a manager and driver for the pizza company and allegedly was angry over a pay dispute.
Tucker Eskew, Campbell’s press secretary, said extradition could take up to a month depending on whether Sims fights the request.
