I’m curious as to where the fathers of America were during the Johnson vs. Calvert lawsuit. It seems Anna Johnson and her legal counsel attempted to show that she has the right to mother Christopher Michael Calvert based solely on the biological function of pregnancy and childbirth. With this line of thinking, men would obviously have fewer rights and/or claims to their children than women, since they don’t physically give birth.
If Anna Johnson felt anything besides opportunistic greed, it may have been a primal maternal instinct present in most mammals, not an emotional bond of love, which takes time to develop.
