The remains of two men, believed to be the snowmobilers reported missing during a late-March storm, have been found, the Amador County Sheriff’s Department reported. Searchers made the discovery on the shore of Devil’s Lake in the Bear River area. The site was about two miles from where the men’s abandoned snowmobile was found two weeks after their disappearance on March 23. James Gerhardt, 37, of Los Altos and Seamus Dunne, 21, of Jackson took off in a rented snowmobile soon before heavy snow began in the area. Over the next three days, 6 feet of snow accumulated.
