MetroLink Adds Later Evening Train to Inland Empire

A new evening train service departing from Anaheim Canyon Station has been added to serve commuters who live in the Inland Empire.
Diana Kotler, the city’s transportation programs planner, said the new train, departing at 6:42 p.m., provides more options for people returning home later in the evening.
The station, the eighth MetroLink rail station linking San Bernardino, Riverside, Corona, northeast Anaheim, Tustin and Irvine, celebrated its one-year anniversary in August.
When the station opened at La Palma and Tustin avenues in the Anaheim Canyon Business Center, it served about 70 commuters a day, Kotler said. Ridership has since increased to about 120 a day.
Three round-trip trains already serve the station with morning arrival times at 6:02, 6:31 and 7:21; departure times are 4:34, 5:23 and 5:57 p.m.
