GT Bicycles Deal to Expand Canada Market

SANTA ANA — GT Bicycles Inc. said it has agreed to form a joint venture with Marr’s Leisure Holdings Inc. to distribute GT bicycles, parts and accessories in Canada.
GT said it expects the joint venture, Riteway Products Canada, to increase its market penetration by lowering the price of GT bicycles in Canada. A unit of Marr’s Leisure, Paulmar Cycles, had been GT’s Canada distributor. GT Bicycles makes and markets mountain and juvenile BMX bicycles as well as parts and accessories.
